![]() | 2003 GT | Pinin Farina serie 3 | 1960 | Grigio Conchiglia | Rosso | Never had a Dutch registration | 2023/11/19: sold via collectingcars.com in Tilburg, the Netherlands.

The new model gained a welcome appearance of sleekness, lightness, and added length, by lowering the beltline and adding greater expanses of window glass. The result was truly beautiful and masterfully captured the classic Ferrari GT "look" like few bodies have, before or since. Buyers responded strongly and the 250 GT "PF Coupé" remains enjoyed by enthusiasts to the present day. Chassis no. 0959 GT, offered here, was originally supplied to an Italian client by the name of Mazzocchi, possibly Gianni Mazzochi, the publisher of Quattroruote magazine and serial Ferrari client. By the midpoint of the 1960s it was located on the West Coast of the United States. Subsequently it was bought by an American lorry driver, known for his exploits driving on the ice roads over frozen lakes in the remote Arctic territories of Alaska, as featured in the first episode of the television programme Ice Road Truckers. It remained in his ownership for the next fifty years, undergoing what might be termed a 'rolling restoration.' As part of this work, the original engine, absent from the car by 1966, was replaced by Tipo 112 engine no. 0373, from a 250 GT Europa, by Grand Prix Motors of Portland, Oregon, around 1970. In 2018 the car was acquired by the current owner, who saw the opportunity to reunite engine no. 0373 with its correct car. Chassis no. 0959 GT is thus offered here less engine but otherwise essentially complete, as a fascinating project complete with an older respray and retrim but still quite presentable. The owner notes that some minor trim parts and instruments remain to be installed but are all present with the car and will transact to the new caretaker. A beautiful wooden steering wheel is still present and the full-size wire wheel spare is still in the boot. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new owner to complete a 250 GT Coupé of their very own and to enjoy a fabulous example of one of the great roadgoing Ferraris.
![]() | 1293 GT | Bacchelli & Villa Cabriolet conversion | 1961 | Grigio | Cuoio | This beautiful Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet represents a carefully constructed recreation, realized by Carrozzeria Bacchelli and Villa. This Italian coachbuilding specialist enjoys international recognition for extensive restoration and reconstruction projects in which original components and period correct techniques play a central role. This example is no exception. The car was built using original parts combined with an exceptionally precise reconstruction that faithfully reflects the appearance and character of the original model. Furthermore, an original Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet was used during the process of building this car. Built with respect for the original The Ferrari 250 series represents one of the most important chapters in Ferrari history. Models from this lineage were developed in the late nineteen fifties during a period in which Ferrari achieved worldwide recognition both on road and track. The Cabriolet, designed by Pininfarina, offered an elegant open interpretation alongside the more competition focused variants. Its design is defined by balanced proportions, subtle lines and an understated presence that remains instantly recognizable and highly desirable today. This particular example originates from a collection of exceptional automobiles. Exceptional is certainly the correct description here. This Ferrari impresses through the quality of its construction and the accuracy of its execution. The bodywork presents in very fine condition with excellent panel alignment throughout. Inside, beautifully finished upholstery and carefully selected materials underline the high standard of craftsmanship applied during the build process. A timeless design The combination of a long hood, low seating position and refined cabriolet profile creates an appearance that feels largely independent of any specific era. Details such as the classic grille and harmonious proportions demonstrate why this model is often regarded as one of the most aesthetically successful Ferrari designs of its time. The interior environment reflects simplicity and functionality in perfect balance. Instrumentation and ergonomics follow the familiar Ferrari philosophy of the late nineteen fifties, clear in layout and fully driver oriented. The naturally aspirated V12 configuration, synonymous with the 250 series, delivers the engaging driving experience for which Ferrari became renowned. This example certainly belongs within that tradition. This Ferrari is not presented as a standard production example, but as a carefully realized interpretation inspired by one of Ferrari’s most admired open models. You are warmly invited to view this Ferrari in person at our showroom in Brummen. Should you reside outside the Netherlands, we will gladly assist with the complete international sales and export process.
