The Lamborghini Miura P400 was the first version of the legendary Miura, produced between 1966 and 1969. It featured a 3.9L transversely mounted V12 engine producing 350 hp, giving it a top speed of around 171 mph (275 km/h). Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, it introduced the groundbreaking mid-engine layout for high-performance road cars. With only 275 units produced, the P400 set the foundation for the Miura’s status as the world’s first true supercar.

(Voitures Paris Monceau) in Paris, France. Prod. #174. Originally Argento Indianap. Met./Nero on 10 April 1968 to V.P.M. (Voitures Paris Monceau) in Paris, France. This Miura is the one and only P 400 delivered in the colour combination with Argento Indianapolis and Senape interior. The interior colour has been confirmed by Simon Kidston and his great Bertone and Murazzi archive. The car is matching colours and matching numbers and completely restored. Beside its great appearance and technical condition the most interesting fact is the amazing original mileage of only 19 550 km which is confirmed by the written statements of the early owners. We do not even know any P 400 with a lower mileage in existence. The car was delivered by Lamborghini to Paris Voitures Monceau where it was bought by a very famous US citizen Max Hess Jr. from Allentown in Pennsylvania. The legendary Hess family is known for their idea to develop a shop in shop luxury department store system. In their best times they had more than sixty department stores all over the US and as well in Rome, London and Paris. In one of his visits in Paris, Max Hess Jr. discovered the Miura and bought it for his son Tommy Hess who kept it until 1980. Up from 1980 its history is confirmed by the last four owners, partly documented by invoices and historical photos. In 1988 with Tom Clark, Pegasus Imports, Charlottesville, VA, USA. With Mario Bernardi in Denmark in July 2020... "The large history file shows service records going back into the eighties. The car benefited from a complete restoration in the last few years. It received a perfect new paint job having chosen a dark blue metallic contrasting to the new upholstery in beige. The complete technique has been overhauled in one of the known Lamborghini workshops in 2016 documented by an amount of records. The latest compression test from March 2017 made in our workshop has brought the best results possible to achieve. This was documented as well on a recent test drive when we learned how fast a well done engine accelerates. On and on it is amazing how fast an early Miura P 400 could be, it shows tremendous power and as well wonderful handling thanks to the new suspension and overhauled brake system. This car is really a fun to look at and especially to feel it on the road – wonderful." It was delivered to its first owner through Voitures Monceau Paris on the 18.04.1968. It was ordered in the more elegant colour scheme of argento with black seats. It was the 174th built Miura P 400 carrying the engine number 1857 which is still today sitting in the car. There is a gap in history in its early days until it came to Denmark in 1986 where it was kept for a longer period. The large history file shows service records going back into the eighties.
