The Lamborghini Urraco P250, unveiled in 1970 and produced from 1972 to 1976, was Lamborghini’s first mid-engine 2+2 sports car and the company’s debut model powered by a V8 engine. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, it featured a sharp wedge profile, pop-up headlights, and a practical yet stylish four-seat layout—aimed at offering a more accessible alternative to Lamborghini’s V12 flagships.

The P250 used a 2.5-liter V8 producing around 220 horsepower, delivering a top speed of about 240 km/h (150 mph). Early production cars faced some reliability and finish issues, which were later addressed with the introduction of the Urraco P250 S. The S version featured improved interior materials, better build quality, and minor mechanical refinements, making it a more polished and desirable variant.

Although total production was limited to around 520 units, the Urraco P250 and P250 S played an important role in Lamborghini’s evolution—introducing the brand’s V8 lineage and influencing later models such as the Silhouette and Jalpa.

Built in 1973 the car was sold new to a Dutch business man in Rotterdam. Its original colour then was chocolate brown. In the eighties the car found its way to Canada were a comprehensive engine rebuild was completed by Leny`s Garage - the official Lamborghini dealer of Ontario, the invoices for this are available. The mileage at that time was 65,000 kms. The car was then sold to a Canadian gentleman in 1989 a complete and professional bare metal body restoration followed in 1994, where all screens and the complete interior was taken and the car repainted in black. This body restoration cost some 15,000 Euros.
